An easy way to tell they difference between a dicot and a monocot is to look at the pattern of the veins on the leaves. The veins of a monocot will be parallel, that is they are all running in the same direction and never intersect. The dicot will have a main vein down the middle of the leaf with the other veins branching off.

If you look at the rose leaf you will see definite branching from the midrib.
Reply:i think it's a dicot flower. i saw its photos in the web and i found out that its petals are either five or multiples of five. this is one of the indications if a plant is monocot or dicot.fitness
