Flower and cake colors?

I want to wear blue jewelry but not have blue in the flowers or cake. What flower colors won't clash with the blue jewels?

The best color advice I can give is to take the jewelry to Home Depot. Or some other store where they sell paint. You can hold it up to all the different paint cards and see what colors work for you. After I ordered my bridesmaid dresses they were only able to give me this tiny swatch, so I went to Home Depot and matched it to a paint chip - that way I was able to give paint chips to my florist, the cake person and my wedding planner. It was so easy to match things and figure out what matched and what didn't.

For blue, I would take the cue from the jewelry itself. If it's really simple jewelry with a light blue, other light colors like lavendar or green would look nice. If it's navy blue, you could go with yellow, or another dramatic color like red. Sapphire blue looks good with almost any color. The only color that would clash would probably be other shades of blue, but since you don't want that anyway, it wouldn't be a problem.

Reply:i would get light, pale pink flowers and an ivory cake
Reply:You said in your previous post that the jewelry was a medium blue, right? For the flowers and cake you could use white, ivory, yellow, red, pink, purple, violet . . . pretty much anything will go with blue. Try narrowing down your choices by picking a type of flower. Personally, I've always loved roses and calla lillies together.

Good luck!
Reply:depends on the color of blue but i would say like your pastel colors
Reply:White
Reply:White or cream colored flowers..
Reply:different shades of purples would be a beautiful compliment to blue. If you go with another primary colour it may look very 'childish.' Depending on the shade of blue, pink may look nice too.
