ok the flower im trying to identify now is purple, when they are closed(as they are now) they are skinny and tubular, they hang off a stem on one side. the leaves are a bit longer then the flower and are thin and skinny. the flower itself looks like a pincusion penstemon but it grows differently on the plant.
Another flower crisis?

Reply:Annual,perennial,shub tree? Size of plant?
What's the leaf like? Glossy,semi-,dull? Margin- entire(one smooth line), or serrated, %26amp; how finely/coarsely? Color? Size? Rough?Smooth? Flat/pebbbly/rugose? Waxy/fuzzy/"normal"? Scent?
Could be another Penstemon . There are lots. A lot of different things in mint family, such as some type of Salvia, Plectranthus, or Teucrium, maybe . Ladybells ( Adenaphora)? Even some varieties of small Hosta fit that description. When did it start to bloom . %26amp; where are you? What conditions prevail where it's growing?
Here's a picture (not great) of one type of Adenaphora . http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/lyna... Anything like that? There are also numerous varieties of it' s close relatives, the Campanulas .
That's delphinium in the background. . There are varieties of delphinium with very thready leaves .Larkspur , (annual Delphinium) has very narrow leaves , with smaller flowers, than the delph in the pic. Come in every shade of purple/pink/white/blue.
Plectranthus "Mona Lavender " ? http://www.plantzafrica.com/plantnop/ple...
