What flower is more expensive, carnation or roses?

i need to know the prices of these flowers or maybe you can tell me what flower is more expensive. these are the flowers that are given to you when there's a prom or just for courting.

Carnations can be equally costly if they are a long stemmed single bloom variety, as the side shoots have to be removed by hand to keep the single bloom.





It all comes down to where in the world they were grown. Carnations are often grown in greenhouses with added heat which can push the cost of production up to that of roses.
