Flower bulbs?
The mother plant when in the dirt produces Baby bulbs.. which are then dug up and sold....The roots of the plant produce the bulbs.. If you plant say a tulip bulb in your garden in spring if you dig it up in fall you will find more little bulbs attached to the roots of the tulip you planted.... Hope that helps..
Reply:Billy Ray has nailed this question. Follow his advise...it is really good and well thought out.
Reply:come from holland, one bulb will make 2 in a season and they come from the ground
Reply:there not made they are grown and depending on what breed and speciman you want they come from all over the world and shipped in to us but most are home grown hope this clears up your little query
Reply:Sadly enough, they are about the only thing I can grow (the ones that dont have to be lifted in the fall of course)....I dont have a green thumb

Reply:They get them from wholesale bulb farms, either in the United States or Holland. The growers have acres upon acres of colorful bulbs from which they harvest yearly to supply the demands of the gardener. Many bulbs need a "cooling" period to produce, so most of the farms are in locations that experience cold weather for a certain length of time during the winter months. The Northwest area of the U.S. has many such farms (Oregon %26amp; Washington). When in bloom, these bulb fields produce an array of beautiful colors and are very spectacular indeed! Here is a link with pics of one such farm located in Washington state. Holland is one of the largest exporters of bulbs in the entire world. The U.S. is close behind.. Here are the links....
