Wedding flower color problem?

OK lady's of yahoo answers i need a little help with flower color. I asked some thing simmer about a month a go but now my choices have changed to to a problem with the vendor. :(

OK i am getting married at a Renaissance fair so we will be dresses in outfit's of the time. I am wearing a black dress yes a black dress my brides maids will be wearing red the grooms mes cream and black the groom blue and black . OK there is the back story here is the flower problem we were to have a choice of white, red, or mix. I do not know the whole story if why the choice is now only red or no flowers. Do you think that with the girls in red do you think that it will be OK for me to use the red roses or do you think it be to much. Now i am the only one who is carrying flowers . I know i have said OK about 20 times i am a little frazzled with other problems outside of the wedding. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer.
Wedding flower color problem?
I think the red roses would be great!

They tie you into the girls' outfits and will stand out beautifully in photos.
Reply:Red will work very nicely. Maybe have your girls carry a single red rose each. While you have a boquet or them... Dont worry it will work! Remember to enjoy the wedding, and know that these little things arent that important in the end. All you will be looking at is him, and everyone else will be looking at you two. Flowers are just flowers. :)
Reply:Ohhh that sounds cool! My bf just went to the Ren Faire on Sunday.. I'm in TX so he had to go without me. Bummer!

Anywho... relax! They're (the BMs) not carrying flowers... you should get the red flowers. With the black dress it will look nice... remember you get to have pictures taken of just you and the groom. You have to have flowers!

BTW I feel really bad you have to deal with all that BS about only using their vendors. Best of luck fair maiden! :o)
Reply:Hi. Red roses will be GREAT!! I love red roses and it will look perfect against your black dress! No, it will not be too much with the bridesmaids in red. It will look nice.

It sounds like a really unique wedding. Very different and lovely. Good luck and I hope it all goes well for you.
Reply:can you do your own bouquets? if so, that's the route i'd go. if you can't, then just go with the red flowers. better red flowers than none. or if there's something else, like a candle they could carry down the aisle, that would be a good way to go.
Reply:i think you should have the red roses (it goes better with the black wedding dress) and the girls should have a mix of white and a few red or just white. good luck and congrats!
Reply:Red flowers will look awesome with a black dress! Breathe! It will all work out. Getting really frazzled right now won't help...Believe me, I'm in the middle of wedding planning and I've got less than a month to go :)
Reply:i think the red will look nice. since your girls are wearing red, it will help tie everything together. and black and red look great together.
Reply:no flowers then can't you go to another florist and guet simple white buquets of roses? no flower in bridesmaid will look so weird.
Reply:can we say beverly hillbillies? the renaissance fair?
Reply:I think if you have a black dress with red flowers it will look lovely! Great contrast!!!
Reply:Don't mix the red and white flowers...it's unlucky!
Reply:What would a bride of that time period have had available? A bouquet of just-picked, mixed wildflowers, perhaps? Tied with a simple ribbon? Go with that.

Or if the vendor is not accommodating, can you do it yourself? http://www.save-on-crafts.com/bridivygar...

I suggest a wreath or hoop . . . such as those made popular by the Duke and Duchess of York's wedding. This "bouquet" is a large ring decorated or intertwined with foliage and flowers. Generally thought of as a symbol of eternity with no beginning or end.

If you make it with silk flowers and ribbons (or other materials not used by the fair's vendors), will you be allowed to bring it in?books authors
