Flower centre pieces?

I am looking for idea for centre pieces. I want something different. I was also looking for pictures of centre pieces with flowers in a vase only the flowers are underwater. I have seen a few done with orchids but I am using roses, lillies and another flower like freesia's or something in my wedding. Has anyone seen pics of these on the net?
Flower centre pieces?
I have seen pics at various sites and on image searches. Speaking from experience, the orchids, calla lilies, tulips, and freesia would work best. The roses look okay, but are not my favorite for the submerged look. Go the grocery or flower shop and get a few to take home %26amp; experiment with; that's always a good idea!

I also have used calla lilies submerged where the bride wanted them to basically "stand straight up" with the bloom at the top of the vase instead of upside down. We achieved this look by submerging the flower, then dropping a small clear glass rock into the throat of the flower to weight it down.
Reply:I've only seen it done with tulips in a tall square vase. You can also use lemons and limes in water.
Reply:what about flower flouting on water? I've seen that done with orchids and it looks very nice
Reply:try hgtv.com - look under centerpieces

They have some beautiful underwater centerpieces. Good luck!
Reply:I was at a wedding 4 days ago and they had beautiful center peices... she also used roses and had them arranged in a circular gathering then they were on top of a tall glass vase with tiny little fairy light in them with a peice of mirror under neath so they were all reflected... Hope it helps.

Reply:Just to share an idea, we had a bowl with one or two big oceanic roses %26amp; a candle floating in water. Also, some rose petals scattered around the bowl. Definitely, this type of arrangement brought the price down since it involved few flowers and cheap candles.
Reply:well i saw candles in pretty candle settings as a center piece, popori(spelled wrong) ummm flowers, your fave of course :D let's see, confetti, etc. fairly simple actually find out what the bride likes. she'll help ya. Good luck.computer
