Flower ideas?

I don't really know much when it comes to flowers. I have glass cylinders about 10 inches tall and am needing a long stem flower to go inside of them for centerpieces. I figured I would put 2 to 3 long stem flowers in each but have no idea what to use. I don't really want roses. I want something elegant and either in white or light pink. Any ideas would be great....any pictures would be even better! Thanks ahead of time for your ideas. :)

Reply:since it is a cylinder vase, are you looking to submerge the flowers? It is really trendy right now in floral design. get some Dendrobium orchids (they come on a long stem with about 10 - 15 flowers per stem. Place some marbles or something that can hold the stem down and in place and fill the vase with water. It looks incredible. I just did a wedding where we had 8 vases that were 42 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter and we had the orchids and submerged lites and glittery ting ting in them. It was spectacular. You can do a miniature version of it for the center of the table.

U CAN ADD PINK COLORED ROCKS OR PEBBLES INSIDE THE VASE OR HAVE PINK CANDLES. ALSO ANOTHER KIND OF PINK FLOWER TO ACCOMPANY THE CALLA LILIES IS AN IDEA U MIGHT LOOK INTO. HAVE FUN.
Reply:I like to take photographs of flowers in a vase and the one that is always elegant would be tulips. They come in many colors and are easy to find at grocery stores or flower stores. As for experience, I belive they live in a vase with just water, up to 9 days. If you want ANY flower to live longer in a vase, I would suggested putting the miracle grow solution that is mixed with water in it. It lets the flower last about 4 days longer. If it's a casual party or meeting you are having them for, daisies also work nicely.
