Two flower girls? and other flower girl questions?

Okay my first question is: Is is okay to have two flower girls (twin nieces)?

Second question: What would you say is the minimum age for a flower girl?

Thridly: Is a flower girl dress usually white?
Two flower girls? and other flower girl questions?
1. I have seen 2 flower girls. It's usually 1 but every wedding is different...and twins! How cute!

2. Minimum age is probably 3 or 4. I have also seen flower girls up to age 14! It just really comes down to what you want for your wedding.

3. Yes, the dress is usually white with your accent color. For example, if the bride's maids will wear pink then usually the white flowers girl's dress would have pink on there somewhere, like a pink ribbon around the waist. Or a pink dress would be fine also.

here is alink to one wedding I did where there were 2 flower girls. I think the ages were 11 and 14. The picture is just after the ceremony (wouldn't let me post a link to just the pic). You can see what they wore also

Reply:I had two flower girls. It's okay if that's what you want!

Minimum age is a subjective thing: If they're young you run the chance of them doing something unexpected. If you're okay with that, then just make sure they can walk! (One of my flower girls was a year and a half She ran up onto the alter and around the alter during the wedding. I was kind of upset my photographer didn't get a picture...it would have been cute!)

Yes, I think the flower girl dresses are usually white. (Again, totally opinion questions) But they have some color tied in, too. Look at dresses you like. I feel that if they are in the wedding colors a lot of the time they look more like miniature bridesmaids. They're young girls, they should be dressed to look "cute" not grown up! :-)
Reply:Seriously, is anything cuter than flower girls? Someone get me knocked up, stat. Just kidding.

At my wedding, I'm also having two girls, my fiance's nieces. One will be four, the other will be about 18 months. I know that's a little on the young side, but I think they'll be fine if they hold hands. Worst case scenario, they both have giant meltdowns and their moms have to rescue them, it's not something to stress. Your neices (twins? adooorable) will be so happy and everybody will love it. Their dresses can be whatever color you want, depending on your wedding colors. Check out the Cinderella dress line for little girls. They are absolutely gorgeous, relatively inexpensive (about $30 each) and they all come with a little matching doll dress.

Good luck on your wedding and remember to have fun! It's your day, no matter how cute your nieces are. Show stealers.

2 - Two or Three. They need to be old enough to walk, comprehend what they are supposed to do, and not be fussy/pouty.

3 - Sometimes they are supposed to match the bride's dress. I don't think there is a "usually" for this anymore. They can be in white, they can be a miniature of the bride, or they could match the wedding party.
Reply:my sister and i were both flower girls in our older sister's wedding. it's your wedding, so i don't think there is a rule on how many flower girls you can have.

and i'd say like 4 in the minimum age just so they are behaved.

and i'd say a like pastel color, but not necessarily white.
Reply:Question 1 - Yes, it would be very cute to have twin sisters as your flower girls.

Question 2 - As long as they can walk on their own and not start crying when all eyes are on them, they should be old enough.

Question 3 - Yes, a flower girl's dress is usually white unless the bride is wearing ivory/cream. It should match her color dress.

Good luck!
Reply:1. It is perfectly fine to have 2 flower girls.

2. I think you can have a girl as young as two, as long as she will follow simple directions.

3. The usual flower girl dress is white or ivory but it doesn't have to be.
Reply:Two is fine. I think a flower girl should be at least four, honestly!

Most often the flower girl dress is white, however, you can also coordinate it to the color of the bridesmaid dresses - either way.
Reply:My flower girls were 4 and 6. They did perfectly fine. There dresses were off white and navy, which is what our colors were.
Reply:Yes, it's ok to have two. It would be cute to have them holding hands or the basket together. I think the age limit is 10 or so
Reply:i am going to also have two flower girls my daughter and my moh's daughter they will both be two..we havent picked out dresses yet but i think we are going with whiteacting resources
