What should my flower girls carry???

Im having a formal Catholic church wedding. We decided to have our 3 precious 2nd cousins (all about 9 years old) participate as flower girls in the wedding however, the church does not allow us to sprinkle rose petals, or anything else inside OR outside the church.

I was considering having the flower girls carry a single flower down the isle or maybe a basket filled with silk flowers that coordinate with the bridesmaids.

Any suggestions or others ideas... where I can find something to use for these 3 cute girls.
What should my flower girls carry???
my sister had the same problem at her wedding and so she had the flower girls blow bubbles instead it was very cute, no mess and original :D
Reply:Yes, flowerballs are the rage now a days!!

Cute, Cute, Cute!
Reply:Baskets with rose petals that the sprinkle as they walk (skip) down the aisle
Reply:My flower girl is holding the hand of my ring bearer so i dont think i'm gonna have her carry anything as well.

The bubbles idea is cute but you try walking and blowing bubbles, trying to look where you're going, its not gonna work!

Pomanders are a great idea but single flowers are just as nice and a whole lot cheaper! My bridesmaids are carrying single large calla lilies. Like this link but white. £7.50 each

Another idea is good luck charms... Each could carry a different one... horse shoe, black cat, rolling pin etc

If you dont have a ring bearer one could do this for you. My ring bearer is my 3 yr old step son (to be lol) and he's carrying the rings in a tatty teddy bear (the bears holding a heart shaped jewelery box)

Personally i'd go with a pomander...

Reply:I had my flower girl carry a flower ball. Our wedding was pink and ivory so the flowers were differnent kinds of pink and ivory flowers and had a strand of pearl beads in it also. It had a silk ribbon that was tied on and she carried it by the ribbon. It was so much easier for her to hold and not get tired of it and it looked so cute. Hope this helps.
Reply:I would either have them carry a basket of flowers or make a headpiece of flowers for them to wear and just have them walk down the aisle and not carry anything. The only problem with having them carry something is at that age, they'll want to toss what they are carrying so it may be better just to have them wear a headband or circle of flowers in their hair and walk down the aisle carrying nothing.
Reply:The flower "balls" called pomanders are very popular. You can get your florist to make them fresh or you can buy them in silk at places like Hobby Lobby in white, ivory, and sometimes pale pink.

Also I have done a wedding with three flower girls where we had them carry a long garland with bows on it. They walked single file %26amp; all held on to the garland. It was cute.c++
