If orange flower color in a plant is controlled by an allele F and red flowor color is controlled by an...?

allele f, which flower color is dominant?

Also, if a pure orange-flowered plants are crossed with pure red-flowered plants, what will be the flower color(s) of the F1 plants?

Thank you.

The dominant allele would be the orange (F), since you kindly capatalized it. And to your question about the crossing, it will most likely be orange. But what exactly is the exact gene for orange? FF or Ff? If it's FF, it will always be orange, if it's Ff, there's a 25% chance it will be red, and a 75% chance it will be orange.

Hope this helps!loan
